Used to differentiate private houses from those that were—quite literally—houses open to the public as Taverns or Alehouses, the first use of the term “Public House” was over 500 years ago.     The Irish Public House (or “pub”) is the epitome of Irish culture and is meant to be a place to relax, meet with friends and family, or gather with other like-minded new acquaintances in happiness and hardship. McGregor’s Public House provides just that: a home for great food and drink, comfort, and more than just a wee bit o’ Irish hospitality.
